Nora turned one yesterday. We had a nice little party here at home. She was a bit overtired and overwhelmed but I think she enjoyed it. She really liked making a mess of the cake.
We are so lucky to have this little girl in our lives. I have lots of pictures to share from this weekend.
Thursday was my birthday and I got the best present. A letter from the courthouse with a date for Nora's readoption. Its mostly just a formality as shes legally ours with a birth certificate from Guatemala with our last name. But we are changing her first name and giving her a middle name so this court date will do that along with giving her a Wisconsin issued birth certificate. Having that will just make things easier for her in the future.

i didnt know you were from wisconsin. i was born and raised there for 18 years and had my first child there. all my family is still up there and friends except my mom whos in mo like i am now.
